Ants are pests in every sense of the word. Scientists estimate that there are 1.5 million ants for every single human being on Earth. They spoil your food, chisel away your concrete walls, and can even bite when they crawl on your skin.

While it’s true that not all ants are harmful to humans, their presence in your home is an indicator that your house is at risk. Ants can cause property damage and create mounds in your yard that can be difficult to remove.

PestBusters deploys a baiting process that uses processed feeds to poison and kill ants.

Another approach would be to spray ant nests with dust insecticides such as deltamethrin or permethrin, so that the ants that are still inside the colonies will be wiped out. Treatment of new nests should be repeated on a regular basis.

Bedbugs are tiny ‘blood sucking’ insects that hide in walls, mattresses and fabric crevices to target human beings while they sleep. Their bites can cause severe itching and discomfort to anyone in the household. Bedbugs are flat, reddish-brown, oval insects about 4mm to 5mm long. They become swollen and reddish after feeding on human blood and are generally considered to be one of the hardest bug infestations to get rid of in homes and established properties.

Upon a thorough inspection of your property, PestBusters will carry out treatment against bedbugs in all infested areas and items. Our method of treatment is focused and site specific, targeting the bedbug nesting sites and eggs that we observe during our inspection. After treatment of the house, a high standard of cleanliness must be maintained for long-term management of bedbugs.

Cockroaches can be a formidable foe. Their well developed antennae and sensory organs can detect minute changes in the atmosphere. They are quick runners and are able to squeeze into the smallest cracks. Cockroaches populate very rapidly – a single pair can spur 2 million descendants in just a year – and they are able to survive 20 days without food and 14 days without water.

PestBusters understands the behaviour, nesting and breeding habits of cockroaches. We exploit their weaknesses until they are eliminated.

We recommend using spray treatment by applying it onto the harbourage areas such as bin chutes or floor traps for a quick kill effect. Depending on the type of species, we will place Gel or Powder baits where suspected activities are detected.

When there’s a heavy infestation, we will recommend Initial Flush-out Treatment. This is an intensive treatment requiring additional manpower to thoroughly and sufficiently inspect and treat the infested area, immediately bringing it to a threshold level. Every equipment and store will be scrutinized and sufficient chemicals applied to where it will do the most damage to the cockroaches.

Termites are known to have an intricate social structure, and an ability to build subterranean structures 15 feet tall, complete with specialty chambers, air ventilation and cooling systems. They are known to eat away at trees, paper, cardboard, and wooden homes, and do not require sleep. Worker termites have a milky or creamy colour and saw-tooth mandibles. Queen termites lay up to 2,000 eggs a day.

PestBusters offers complete solutions for termite-proofing structures as well as the most effective methods for decimating termite colonies.

The recommended inspection will include visual inspection or the Termatrac Detection Radar (deploying microwave technology to detect active infestation) for any mud trails, which tend to emerge from wall, cracks, crevices and any possible entry points.

Flies transport more dangerous pathogens than probably any other insect. They reproduce with ruthless efficiency: an entire generation of flies (from egg to adult) only takes 12-14 days. Highly adapted for flying and bestowed with legendary reflexes, it has compound eyes for detecting fast movement but no means to defend itself other than to fly away.

PestBusters uses light traps and sticky-boards to exploit a critical weakness in most flies, which are intrinsically attracted to ultraviolent light. After we identify the flies caught in the traps, we home in on their breeding source for total elimination.

We will carry out inspection at potential breeding sources. Our recommended treatment is misting and spraying at possible breeding sources (gully traps, drains, sewages). However, misting treatment would only achieve a quick kill.

To solve a flies infestation problem at its roots, we would need to locate the source of the breeding, some examples being gully traps and garbage piles. Once the breeding source is eliminated, the sanitation level of your office has to be improved as flies are most effectively controlled through proper sanitation. Remove garbage, pet feces or droppings and other decaying plant and animal matter properly and regularly. These should be disposed in tied plastic bags and not dumped in the open.

Mosquitoes are the perfect silent assassins of the insect world. They move around quietly, biting unsuspecting victims. Their two huge compound eyes provide a wide field of vision and detect movement easily. Its tiny proboscis specialize in piercing flesh and sucking blood. Most of their prey don’t even know they have been bitten, and when they do, the mosquito is already long gone, stalking their next prey.

To combat the mosquito threat, PestBusters uses a multipronged offensive strategy to attack mosquitos’ food sources and kill them before they hatch from their larvae.

Rodents like rats adapt to environments with their incredible muscle memory that allows them to memorize their environment by body and muscle movement alone. Along with the ability to fit into small spaces, they have excellent sensory abilities and are able reproduce relatively fast. Rodents pose a danger because they are able to spread a multitude of diseases.

PestBusters is well-versed in dealing with pesky rodents. We have all the tools you need to put an end to rodent problems.

Rats and mice usually hunt for food at night. If you happen to see a rodent during the day, it might mean there is a lack of food or the rodent population is high.

Our recommendation will be to use either glue board or rat cages to place at suspected areas of activity based on paw marks, urines or gnaw marks. We will place baits at surrounding areas and will carry out a follow up visit 3-4 days later. If there’s a heavy infestation, 4 to 5 visits may be needed.
